The Alberta Craft Council is excited to present the 7th Annual Alberta Craft Awards. These awards recognize the value and contribution of individuals to Alberta's fine craft culture.

The recipients will be recognized at a ceremony onOctober 15 at DaDe ART & DESIGN LAB in Calgary   |   7:00 pm

They will also be featured in a Discovery Gallery exhibition, later on, in Edmonton.

The 2011 Alberta Craft Award Nominees are:

Linda Stanier & Family Memorial Award
Celebrating the life of Linda Stanier, this annual endowed award has been created to honour an Alberta professional craftsperson working in clay.

Award of Honour
Presented to a volunteer/supporter/teacher/craftsperson (individual or group) that has made a significant contribution to Alberta's Fine Craft Culture.

Award of Achievement
Presented to an emerging craftsperson/student, in recognition of his/her achievement to date and/or potential (ACC members only).

Presented to an established craftsperson who excels in his/her area of craft (ACC members only).

DaDe ART & DESIGN LAB and the Alberta Craft Council are excited to present the 6th Annual Alberta Craft Awards.  These annual awards recognize individuals and groups for their dedication to Alberta's fine craft culture.


The Alberta Craft Council is a non-profit, non governmental. member organization dedicated to Alberta fine craft.  Since 1980 the Council has organized exhibitions, publications, marketing ventures, education projects and the information services for members and the general public.

The Council is now one of the most dynamic member-run arts organizations in Alberta, and one of the most productive craft councils in Canada.  Presenting more fine craft exhibitions than any other organization in the country.
