july 31 - october 26, 2014 This exhibition features five collaborative drawings between Lindsay Falk and six students from Nose Creek Middle School. Each student was encouraged to think creatively about the ways in which they could explore content and how drawing can be a visible way of communicating. Over the course of a month the drawings were exchanged back and forth between student and artist. Each addition to the drawing inspired the ideas that followed. Throughout the project it became evident that each work is a unique and intimate conversation between artist and image that explores powerful themes such as love, depression, memory and hope through a playful perspective. In addition, this exhibition features a collection of collaborative drawings and paintings by Jacilyn Blackwood and Lindsay Falk. Each work examines the everyday nature of our thoughts, ideas and memories with a humorous twist. This exhibition is an exploration into how the exchange of ideas and the magic of collaboration can allow us to discover new meaning and embrace the playful nature inside all of us. inside my head Lindsay Falk and Casey Planden (Gr. 6) Pencil Crayon, Marker and Image Transfer on Paper - 2014 losing someone Lindsay Falk and Faith Huang (Gr. 7) Pencil Crayon, Marker and Image Transfer on Paper - 2014 who am i?
